Visions come to life. MEYER.
FAIR & sustainably produced in Europe.

The most sustainable trousers go the distance.
For us, sustainability is always based on quality and has been ever since the company was founded in 1960 – a good product lasts longer. As a company, we have already achieved everything that is possible in the field. Our consistent approach is evident through our GOTS certification. This is the internationally recognised gold standard for the production of textiles from organically produced natural fibres under strict environmental and social criteria at every stage of the supply chain, from the cotton field to the finished product. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) demands the highest quality materials and production standards.

Complete transparency through certifications.
We leave no stone unturned. We are certified in all areas of our trousers – materials, production, social welfare, safety, toxicology. In addition to the GOTS certification, the MADE IN GREEN label from OEKO-TEX® also ensures environmentally friendly production, testing for up to 300 harmful substances and social responsibility through fair wages, regular working hours and workplace safety. MADE IN GREEN also offers transparent supply chains and their traceability for the buyers. Fairtrade certification guarantees ILO (International Labour Organization) labour standards and allows us to manufacture and sell trousers with the Fairtrade Cotton seal.

Our production – our quality promise.
The basis for a sustainable and high-quality product is durability! As our trousers are made at our own European production facilities, we can have a direct influence on our production standards both in terms of quality as well as from a social and ecological perspective. We reinforce this by carrying out rigorous inspections during the production process. The cut, the sewing, the washing and the ironing process are carefully inspected by specialist personnel. Before delivery, a complete final inspection takes place. This allows us to guarantee a flawless product that meets the exceptional MEYER standards.

Pure natural fabrics & recycled fibres.
Each individual component of our trousers, whether it's the fabric, yarn, buttons or zips, meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Cotton is by far the most important material used in the manufacture of our trousers. This is why we decided in 2020 to switch entirely to pure organic cotton. Since then, excellent results have been achieved in terms of reducing water and energy consumption, and lowering CO2 emissions and the use of chemicals. The process is free from harmful pesticides, meaning that the skin as well as the soil and water are not put under stress. Fabrics made of organic cotton also last longer and are more durable, which positively impacts the quality of our trousers.

Animal-friendly? Naturally.
MEYER wool trousers are made exclusively from animal-friendly new wool, which is 100% mulesing free. For our M|5 labels, cork is used instead of leather. And instead of using horn for buttons, we use exclusive walnut wood, precious metal or high-quality plastic. The use of pure organic cotton and innovative techno fabric, obtained from recycled fibres, leads to the sustainable and respectful management of resources and habitats.

Exceptionally excellent.
Every two years, Marketing Research from the renowned magazine TextilWirtschaft conducts personalised surveys of the 100 largest specialist retailers in Germany as part of the comprehensive and in-depth TW Image Analysis of Men's Trousers. The aim of the study is to reveal what is most important to retailers when selecting their suppliers and which providers are in the best position to meet these expectations. In 2024, MEYER-HOSEN once again impressed across the board and was awarded the double top spot in sustainability and business trousers. In March of this year, the magazine devoted a comprehensive article to the company, shining a light on the company's own European production facilities, uncompromising sustainable approach and social commitment.
